Many detoxification facilities will not take adolescents. There is only one facility in the state that is solely for adolescents. There are some facilities that are dual diagnosis centers, which means they care for substance abuse and mental health patients. Then, there are some adult programs that accept the older adolescents.

This program opened in October of 2007. It is for adolescents ages 13-17 that need detoxification and up to 30 day stabilization. They do the coordination necessary to transfer a child into long term residential treatment or outpatient treatment.
This is the top recommended program in by book. This way your child is not placed with adults where they could learn more ways to perpetuate and conceal their addiction habits from those around them.
