Adolescent Substance Abuse Programs in Massachusetts
Your Subtitle text
17+ and 18+ programs
My web site is dedicated to adolescents however while dealing with my son's addiction I have also had to deal with a second loved ones addiction who fits into the 18+ category.   This gave me a head start in finding programs for my son when he turned 18.

Please keep in mind, this is just the tip of the iceberg.  There are lots of programs in our state for adult men and women.  Categories are Detox, Transitional, Residential, Halfway Housing, Sober Housing, and Out Patient.  Some are insurance based, some are private, and some are DPH funded.  I recommend that you use one or more of the treatment locator's on this website to find more.

Many insurance companies only cover a specific number of days of treatment.  Some insurance companies however will cover detox if it is done at a general hospitals.  There are many general hosptials in Massachusetts that provide detox and out patient services.  Contact your insurance company for specific coverage and providers.

If you do not have health insurance then you might qualify for a DPH bed.  This would provide treatment either free or at a reduced rate.  The specific facility you are calling will let you know if you qualify or not.
